We are surrounded by a world which beautifies everything around us such that it leads to an eternity of misery and remorse.

Surrounded by strangers I’m all alone,
My sight can’t rest on the same spot,
I only wish somebody was home,
To be my shade in this town so hot.

My decision to wear hijab was a quick one. A sudden one. One that could only have been decided for me.

… and most importantly, the absolute best thing you can do is make du’a for her. If you sincerely care and are worried about her decision, then turn to Allah ta’ala, because indeed He is the only one who can help. After all, He is Al-Muqallib al Quloob, the Turner of Hearts.

But something went wrong yesterday. My hijab backfired on me. Usually I keep a distance with males, and I speak only when it is necessary and avoid engaging in random chit chat. When I do converse I maintain a stern demeanor and try to lower my gaze.
