“…let not our hearts deviate…”

One of the greatest fears of the believers is that they will be led astray again after being guided. Umm Salamah said that the Prophet used to supplicate, “O You Who changes the hearts, make my heart firm on Your religion.” Then he would recited, “Our Lord! Let not our hearts deviate (from the truth) after You have guided us, and grant us mercy from Youself. Truly, You are the Bestower.”
