Changing rooms have a bit of a “reputation” between us Muslims as places to slip in and pray while out and about at the mall. The other day, I was with a sister – and in some stores, they have small white boards on the doors of the changing rooms they write your name on. We decided to put them to a different “use.” Usually, whenever we have a chance, we write something like “Islam is the TRUTH!” or “WHYISLAM.org” anywhere, like in guest books at museums. So we tried it out on the changing room doors:

Taking Humbleness to Heart

As the years have gone by, I have found myself strengthening my faith and character. How I practice Islam today has improved from how I practiced it a few years ago, to even a few months ago. One of the blessings that Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala has given us as a part of this perfect religion is that every little good deed counts. Imagine if our good deeds counted only when we fulfilled everything in its entirety? Yet even the person who does one good thing while they struggle with others will be rewarded for that one good thing, just like the prostitute was rewarded for quenching the thirst of a dying dog, in the hadith of the Prophet Salla Allahu Alayhi Wasallam.

Allah Guided Me Through this Muslimah

Every time someone asks me how I became religious and so attached to Islam, I tell them about how Allah guided me through an amazing woman. About 6 years ago, my friends and I heard about a particular young woman who gives Islamic lessons at her house. We heard so many good things about her, how she’s so cool, and so much fun. The descriptions were amazing. When I heard the descriptions, I really wanted to meet this young woman. We decided to go to one of her “deen” lessons everyone has been talking about.
