Masha-Allah! Masha-Allah! I loved the vivid description you had in the begining about reading a new book and becoming the parents of a new character.

I've also read a thousand splendid suns and like Muslim Girl said, I wish it was the epilogue of the book. I am so glad you wrote something like this, i always felt like the misconceptions about hijab should have been clarified.

And unfortunately, there are COUNTLESS books, programs, etc. aside from A Thousand Splendid Suns that attempt to tie in culture and Islam as one even though they are not. However, to combat this I try whenever I can to speak out and convey the truth. Hence this article Alhamdulillah.

I absolutely love this article.

I've read A Thousand Splendid Suns as well, and although I loved the book (so heartwrenching!) I always worried about the manner in which the hijab is portrayed to non-Muslims reading it.

I wish something like this could be the epilogue of that book so people know lol!!
